Instagram used AWS for their computer, they used technologies like PostgreSQL and Redis for storage and caching - it seems obvious now that they didn’t need to rebuild this technology when it already existed. So why are robotics companies still trying to build some of the basics themselves - like teleoperation, remote access, low latency video, and visualization?
